The apartment is situated a 10 minutes’ walk from the “old city”. The area is residential and very pleasant with most sights within easy walking distance. The Ronda San Pere begins approximately two blocks from the apartment and takes you right to Plaça Catalunya, the nerve centre of the city. From here you can access the beginning of La Rambla which is a definite must for the visitor to Barcelona: the street performers, outdoor cafés and the famous La Boqueria food market really should not be missed. Near Plaça Catalunya you will also find the famous Gothic Quarter and the very trendy El Borne area; other areas of interest for the visitor are the Paseo del Born in El Borne, which is 50 meters from the amazing gothic church of Santa Maria del Mar, the Picasso Museum, the Cathedral and the port.

The Apartment;

With it’s four bedrooms and 120m2, the apartment is the perfect choice, it will ensure the guest is at ease and feels welcome from the moment they walk in the door…

The living/dining area of this apartment is comfortable and an ideal place to sit back and relax in after a hard day of being out and about in the city, exploring all the wonderful things Barcelona has to offer.. although the dining and living area are the same space, it has been given an air of being slightly seperate as the nice bright coloured stools/poofs, sofa, TV and DVD, etc have been placed to one side of the room.. should you choose to enjoy one of the many fantastic wines this region of Spain has to offer, along with some great “fuet” then this area of the apartment is perfect to sit back in and do just that…

The bedrooms are very nicely decorated, on a par with the rest of the apartment; they are decorated in a simple, no frills style which is both fresh and elegant in look… there is one bedroom with a double bed and the second and third bedrooms come with two single beds each and the fourth bedroom has one single bed.. The master bedroom has a built in wardrobe and the other bedrooms all come with their own individual wardrobes to ensure all the guests have somewhere to store their belongings…

The kitchen of this apartment is modern and comes fully equipped with all the mod cons to ensure that your stay at the Orozco apartment is a hassle free one…..

The Art Nouveau apartment building is situated in the heart of the Borne which is the trendy and upbeat part of the Old Town in Barcelona. It lays right next to the Gothic quarter of Barcelona. This is the oldest part of the city and the site chosen by the Romans during the Augustus Empire (27 to 14 B.C.) to found a new colony. The Barrio Gotico contains a concentration of medieval Gothic buildings only a few blocks northeast of Las Ramblas. It is a maze of interconnecting dark streets linking with squares, and there are plenty of cafés and bars. The apartment itself is steps to Paseo del Born which is 50 meters to the amazing gothic church of Santa Maria del Mar, the Picasso Museum, the Cathedral and the port.

The studios:

The apartment building (18th century) has been renovated to strict rules and guidelines which conserves the historic facade of the ancient gothic quarter. The apartment building has an elevator, a treat in the old city. Each studio has been renovated keeping the original wooden beams in the ceiling and the beautiful rustic exposed brick walls. All studios have a double bed but some also have a convertible sofabed to accommodate a third guest.

Each kitchen is fully equipped with vitroceramic counter tops, and all the commonplace items like fridge, microwave, pots, pans, etc., Each bathroom is clean and basic comprising of shower and sink units. Each studio apartment has been fitted with air conditioning (Hot/Cold) and guests can be avail of the broadband internet connection along with TV . All linens and towels are provided but guests will need to bring their own beach towels.

The Gothic area is a maze of interconnecting dark, cobbled stone streets, and there are plenty of cafés and bars. Just a few blocks from the apartment you find the amazing gothic church of Santa Maria del Mar, from where one can continue on to the Picasso Museum and the Cathedral.

Also an eight minutes’ walk away guests are treated to the trendy gothic El Borne district with its wonderful example of gothic architecture in the magnificent church Santa Maria del Mar.
